It has emerged at the Financial and Economic Division of the High Court in Accra that Andrew Clocanas, Executive Chairman of Construtora OAS Ghana Limited who was charged together with Alhaji Collins Dauda and three others over the Saglemi Affordable Housing case has died.
This came up in Court as Prosecution calls its First witness as the trial commences.
Rev. Stephen Yaw Osei, the current acting Chief Director of the Ministry of Works and Housing is in the Witness Box giving evidence.
Lawyers of Collins Dauda led by Thaddeus Sory has raised preliminary legal objection to the adoption of the Witness Statement of the witness in its entirety as one that do not conform to the dictates of practice direction.
EIB Network’s Legal Affairs Correspondent, Murtala Inusah is reporting that the Director of Public Prosecution Mrs Yvonne Atakora Obuobisa is justifying the basis for which the objection should be overruled.
