Israeli Ambassador to Ghana Shlomit Sufa has stated in an interview with Korku Lumor on the Class Morning Show that Israel yearns to be a free people in a free land.
She mentioned that the national anthem of Israel is inspiring, expressing the hope that as long as there’s a Jewish soul in their bodies, Israel will be free people in a free land.
She further mentioned that Israel has declared war for the first time since 2006, intending to make Hamas pay heavily for their actions against Israeli citizens, communities, women, and babies. Israel declared war on Hamas following the barbaric and inhuman slaughters witnessed since Saturday morning.
Ambassador Sufa emphasised that Hamas is not about freedom or securing the well-being of its people in Gaza; it is a terrorist organization with destructive motives.
She highlighted that when discussing with a murderer, the only remaining topic is the arrangement of a funeral, symbolising that there’s nothing to negotiate with Hamas.
“When you have a discussion between the murderer and the victim, the only thing left for discussion is the arrangement of the funeral and this is a cynical way of saying there’s nothing to talk about with the Hamas”.
Ambassador Sufa noted that Israel has been attacked by terrorists for decades, starting with the first attack against Palestine in the early 1960s, followed by attacks on Egypt and Syria in 1973.
A peace agreement was signed between Israel and Egypt in 1979. She concluded by stating that Israel has completely withdrawn from the Gaza Strip because there’s no justification for staying, and waging war on Hamas is the most reasonable and logical step forward.
