OSP files certiorari application in Cecilia Dapaah case

Must Read

The Office of the Special Prosecutor has submitted a certiorari application to challenge the High Court’s decision to expedite the hearing of the confirmation application against Cecilia Dapaah.

On October 11, the court advanced the return date for the confirmation application from October 18 to October 12.

The Special Prosecutor’s office seeks to quash this decision, citing concerns over aspects of the ruling that seemingly excluded the supplementary affidavit.

The Director of Prosecution, Dr. Isidore Tuffour, clarified this stance in court.

However, Ms Cecilia Dapaah’s legal team accused the Special Prosecutor’s office of orchestrating a plan to delay the proceedings.

The case is adjourned to October 25, awaiting the Chief Justice’s decision on whether to recuse herself.
