The Presbyterian Women’s College of Education, Aburi has named the 490 bed capacity ultra modern hostel facility after first Lady, Rebecca Naa Okaikor Akufo-Addo.
Commissioning the Rebecca Akufo-Addo hall, the first Lady commended the Governing Council of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, staff and students of the Presbyterian Women’s College of Education,for their warm reception and the honor.
She said, naming the facility after her pays tribute to the countless individuals, both seen and unseen, who have tirelessly worked to uplift women and children, to champion their rights, and to provide them with the opportunities they deserve.
“The decision to name this facility after me transcends personal recognition; it symbolizes a collective dedication to enhance the well-being of our society. It pays tribute to the countless individuals, both seen and unseen, who have tirelessly worked to uplift women and children, to champion their rights, and to provide them with the opportunities they deserve.” The First Lady wrote on her X (formerly Twitter) account.
“On Wednesday 1st November, 2023, I was at the Presbyterian Women’s College of Education, Aburi, to help commission the Rebecca Akufo-Addo hall. It is indeed a rare privilege to have this great institution name this beautiful 490 bed capacity ultra modern hostel facility after me. ”
The First mentioned that it is her wish that the students can be well natured to become architects of their bright future
“It is my prayer that together, we can nature the potentials of these students, ignite the flames of curiosity and empower the students to become architects of their bright future.
