Burial service for the late E. T. Mensah Underway

A burial service for the late Enoch Teye Mensah, former Member of Parliament for the Ningo-Prampram constituency and a Council of State member, is currently taking place at the Forecourt of the State House.

Present at the solemn event are numerous dignitaries, including President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, former President John Dramani Mahama, and various personalities from different political affiliations and walks of life.

ET Mensah passed away at the age of 77 in October 2023 while in South Africa after a prolonged battle with illness. His remains were repatriated to Ghana in the same month.

The thanksgiving service for Mr. Mensah is scheduled to occur at the Methodist Church in Prampram on Sunday, January 7, 2024.

Enoch Teye Mensah, born on May 17, 1946, served as a Minister for Education and a Member of Parliament in Ghana from January 1997 until January 2017.

Throughout his political career, he held various portfolios in the government. Until his passing, he remained an esteemed member of the Council of State. Known affectionately as ET Mensah, he leaves behind a legacy, having been married with seven children.
