Freshly acquitted France international, Benjamin Mendy, is set to revive his career after penning two year contract with Ligue 1 side FC Lorient.
Mendy, who was accused of sexual offences was acquitted of ten charges this week and thus makes his return to active football.
The ex-Manchester City player was released by the treble winning team for thorough investigation which rendered him clubless throughout proceedings. In 2017, he became City’s record at age 23 for £52 million move from Monaco.
Mendy, a World Cup winner with France in 2018 will play for the French side till June 2025.
