President John Dramani Mahama has emphasized that the National Economic Dialogue is not merely a symbolic gesture or the fulfillment of a campaign promise, but a crucial step toward revitalizing Ghana’s economy.
Speaking at the opening session of the Dialogue on Monday, March 3, he stated, “This gathering is more than just a symbolic exercise or a campaign commitment. It is a decisive step in our collective responsibility to reset Ghana’s economy, restore confidence, and build the prosperous future we all envision.”
He underscored the significance of the event, noting, “Today, we begin an open and solution-driven conversation about the challenges we face and the opportunities that lie ahead. Our nation stands at a pivotal moment, and the choices we make now will shape our economic trajectory for generations to come.”
As President, Mahama acknowledged the honor of leading discussions on the theme “Resetting Ghana: Building the Economy We Want Together.” He described it as a reflection of the country’s shared commitment to fostering a resilient, inclusive, and sustainable economy.
“This theme is an invitation to all stakeholders to contribute their ideas and dedication to this national effort,” he concluded.
