Ghanaians and followers of Tracy Owusu-Addo have been eagerly awaiting her response ever since news emerged about the involvement of her celebrated husband, Ghanaian rapper Michael Owusu Addo, popularly known as Sarkodie, with Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson.
Sarkodie recently opened up about his wife’s reaction to the news, and he admits it was surprising and interesting to him. He didn’t expect her to handle the situation the way she did. During an interview on the Way Up With Angela show, Sarkodie revealed that Tracy’s primary concern was his well-being when the news broke. Despite the sensitive nature of the issue, she remained composed and caring, more worried about how he felt, especially since he was on tour at the time.
Regarding his song “Try Me,” which some speculated was a response to the revelations in Yvonne Nelson’s memoir titled ‘I am not Yvonne Nelson,’ Sarkodie asserted that he released the song out of personal desire, not seeking reactions or consolation from others. He stated that he wasn’t bothered by what people thought about the song, emphasizing that he simply wanted to express himself through his music.
This marks the first time Sarkodie has addressed the revelations made in Yvonne Nelson’s memoir, which included details about an abortion she had in relation to their past relationship.
