Flood in Greater Accra during the rainy season is an unavoidable one due to choked gutters and blockage of waterways.
The Nadmo Director for Korley Klottey Municipal Assembly, Rev. Daniel Odei Appiah has blamed junkies for being the cause of flooding in the municipality and the metropolitan assembly.
Interacting with Odiyifo Yaw Charles during a clean-up exercise organised by the Municipality, Zoomlion, and other stakeholders, Rev. Daniel Odei Appiah said the junkies collect wastes from various organisations, homes, and institutions and don’t dispose them off at the appropriate dumping site.
They will rather dump them around, and then the gutters will be choked when it rains, and that leads to flood in the community, the municipality, and the metropolitan.
He therefore pleaded and urged the community to register with certified waste companies to always hand over their wastes to them to be disposed.
