Accra Lions unveils ex-german captain Lothar Matthaus as club’s newest partner

Ghana Premier League side, Accra Lions yesterday at the Kempinski Hotel in Accra unveiled former German Star, Lothar Matthaus as the latest addition to their board room staff.

The 1990 FIFA World Cup winning captain who has purchased a stake in the elite team has expressed his joy for joining the Ghanaian elite side.

“Ghana has always had a huge potential of talent and I’m thrilled by the idea of supporting the sportive development of young footballers with my knowledge and experience.”

Accra Lions Football Club with their latest addition to management also boast of Ghanaian international, Frank Opoku Acheampong (Shenzhen FC – China) and club’s chairman Oliver König.
Accra Lions currently lie on 9th position on the BetPawa Premier League table after defeating Aduana Stars 3-0.
