Nana Kwame Mensah- Bonsu,the Otumfuo Ahenenanom Hene, has downplayed the appraisal given to the late JB Danquah, one of Ghana’s Big Six.
Nana Mensah – Bonsu said these words while reacting to a statement made by the Senior Advisor to the President,Yaw Osafo Maafo in 2022, that Ashantis did not play any significant role in Ghana’s fight for independence.
He described Osafo Maafo as a “mad person ” because of the statement he made.
Nana Mensah – Bonsu went on to say that there were founding fathers who should be applauded for aiding in Ghana’s independence.
Ahenenanom Hene said JB Danquah and the father of the current President of Ghana, Nana Addo Dankwah Akuffo – Addo, Edward Akuffo – Addo, did nothing important for Ghana.
He stated that “JB Danquah and the father Akuffo – Addo were all corrupt. All of them are all bad people. “
