The vetting session is scheduled to begin at 9:00 AM in Committee Rooms 1 and 2 of the Parliamentary Administration Building.
This process forms a critical part of evaluating the individuals nominated by President John Dramani Mahama to occupy key ministerial and regional leadership roles in his administration.
The nominees appearing for vetting today are:
Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah – Minister-Designate for Lands and Natural Resources
Tia Ibrahim – Minister-Designate for the North East Region

The Appointments Committee will assess the nominees’ credentials, professional experience, and proposed plans to ensure they are well-suited for their respective roles.
This vetting process is an integral step in confirming the nominees and building a competent leadership team. The Committee has previously demonstrated its commitment to assembling a capable administration by thoroughly vetting and recommending nominees for legislative approval.
As President Mahama’s government seeks to address pressing national issues and implement key policy initiatives, today’s session will significantly influence the leadership framework of his administration.
The rigorous screening process will ensure that the nominees are qualified and prepared to effectively execute their mandates, paving the way for a strong and effective governance team.
