Assin North By-election: Five hundred and forty delegates to vote – NPP

Five hundred and forty delegates are expected to cast their vote to elect a candidate to represent the New Patriotic party in Assin North ahead of the June 27 by elections.

Two candidates Charles Opoku and Freeman Amoah Kyei are contesting the election.

One of them will be hoping to be elected by the end of polls to face off with the NDC’s James Gyakye Quayson on June 27.

Hundreds of party supporters have gathered at the Akonfudi Church of Pentecost to support their favorite candidate.

However the National Democratic Congress’s candidate James Gyakye Quayson launched his campaign yesterday with a call on constituents of Assin North to do the needful by voting for him to lead the constituency.

“I have gone through a over the years but I know the plan of the opponent the New Patriotic Party will not hold” Jame Gyakye Quayson said.
