Leader of the Liberal Party of Ghana Kofi Akpaloo says he is hopeful his candidate will emerge victorious in the impending by-election slated for June 27.

According to the Leader of the LPG party their aim again is to break the duopoly.

Kofi Akpaloo says the National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party have abused the opportunities given to them by Ghanaian adding that LPG will for the first time have a representative in Parliament.

Speaking in a interview at the Assin North constituency while mobilizing his supporters ahead of the election the leader of the LPG urged residents of Assin North to give LPG the chance.

“LPG is bringing a candidate that is unique among all the contestants and that is what will give us an added advantage. We are interested in also breaking the duopoly but let me tell you that at the end of day the people from Assin will disappoint the government”Kofi Akpaloo said.

The leader of the LPG is also worried about the fast pace of development that is happening in Assin Bereku the District Capital of Assin North urging residents not to be carried away by this sudden development but be circumspect in the choice they make.

“As was the case in Kumawu where we saw the construction of roads among others to deceive people to vote for them, same is happening in Assin North. But let me tell you that at the end of day the people of Assin will disappoint the government” Kofi Akpaloo said.
