Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia yesterday commenced an eleven (11) day campaign tour of the Ashanti Region to bolster his presidential ambitions.

According to information gathered by Atinka TV News, the Vice President will remain in the Ashanti Region and campaign for votes until Wednesday, July 19, 2023, on this campaign tour that began Yesterday, July 6th, 2023.

During this long stay in the region, Dr. Bawumia is expected to meet and interact with party delegates in all 47 constituencies.

Significantly, the Vice President would use the campaign tour to clarify his vision for the NPP, first as flagbearer and then as president, to the party’s delegates.

Dr. Bawumia took the opportunity to inaugurate the office of his campaign team in Asokwa, met with party delegates at the Prempeh Assembly Hall, Manhyia South, and North, and completed the day’s  tour in the Suame Constituency

The office as gathered by Osofoba Kwame Afrifah was donated by the chief of Agric Nzema, Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo to assist Bawumia during his stay and hold meetings with his faithful supporters in the region whenever he visits the region.

Addressing the gathering, Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo, said, though it is forbidden for chiefs to engage in active politics, he has willingly made that donation to his in-law the Vice president because of Samira Bawumia, his (Nana Nkansah Boadu Ayeboafo) daughter.

He, therefore, made a passionate appeal to the NPP delegates to carefully chose or vote for a competent person who can lead the NPP to victory in the 2024 general elections.

On his part, Dr. Bawumia thanked the mammoth crowd who had gathered to cheer him up for their unflinching support which he thinks could march him into victory in their primaries.

The veep also seized the opportunity and urged the supporters of all the flag bearer aspirants to be devoid of insults in their campaigns. Thus they shall come together strongly as one and fight for victory in 2024 irrespective of whoever emerges winner in their primaries.
