Samira Bawumia, wife of the Vice-President, has commended Ghanaian chef Abdul-Razak Failatu on her resilience over the last few days since she began her attempt to set a new Guiness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual.

In a Facebook post, Mrs Bawumia, described the Ghanaian chef’s resilience over the last few days as “amazing.”

According to Mrs Bawumia, “over the last few days, the excellence of Ghanaian women has been registered boldly.”

She indicated that: “Once more, Ghanaians have exhibited oneness and it is inspiring.”

The wife of the vice-president also urged the Ghanaian chef to keep going.

“Faila, I know you can do this, and you’ve done great so far. Keep going strong!

“We’re proud of you,” she added.

The cooking marathon commenced on the eve of New Year 2024 and is currently underway at the Modern City Hotel.

Chef Failatu’s goal is to cook continuously for an astonishing 120 hours, aiming to surpass the existing Guinness cook-a-thon record held by Irish chef Alan Fisher, who achieved an impressive 119 hours and 57 minutes.
