D-Black is My Boss, Not My Sexual Partner – S3fa

Must Read

Ghanaian singer S3fa recently opened up about her thriving music career and the instrumental role played by D-Black, who signed her onto his renowned Black Avenue Record label. In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, S3fa emphasized that their relationship is solely based on professional grounds, dispelling the commonly held belief that female artists often develop romantic involvements with their male investors or managers.

Addressing the issue, S3fa, whose real name is Sefadzi Abena Amesu, expressed her frustration, stating, “I am not okay at all when people have the assumption that I have something to do with D-Black. This issue has come up a couple of times, and I am not okay with it.” She firmly clarified that her bond with the CEO of her record label is strictly business-oriented, aiming to focus on their collaborative efforts in the music industry.

Aside from discussing her working relationship with D-Black, S3fa delved into a thought-provoking topic surrounding abortion, reigniting public conversations on the matter. She expressed her perspective that abortion is often unjustly stigmatized and criticized, calling out those who condemn the act as hypocrites. According to S3fa, many people in Ghana have undergone abortions, and those condemning individuals like Yvonne Nelson are likely guilty of similar actions but choose to vilify others, masking their own indiscretions.

S3fa’s journey in the music industry began as a singer, performing with live bands at various venues such as bars, pubs, and events in Accra. In 2017, her talent caught the attention of D-Black, who reached out to her via the popular social media platform Instagram. Impressed by her skills, D-Black offered her a recording contract with Black Avenue Muzik. That same year, S3fa released her debut single titled “Marry Me,” featuring Jupiter, which marked her official entry into the music scene.

Continuing her musical journey, S3fa followed up with the release of “Shuga,” a collaboration with the talented musical duo DopeNation, in May 2018. The track garnered attention and further solidified her position as a rising star in the industry.

In November 2020, S3fa released her highly anticipated debut album, titled “Growth.” The album consisted of twelve tracks and showcased her versatility as an artist. Collaborations with notable artists such as EL, Camidoh, Fameye, Sista Afia, Wendy Shay, Bisa Kdei, Medikal, and Nigerian singer Praiz added depth and diversity to the project, receiving positive acclaim from both fans and critics alike.
