Ghanaian top tier side, Dreams FC management have confirmed their participation in CAF second tier competition after purported speculation of no involvement.
Dreams FC will represent Ghana in the 2022/2023 CAF Confederation Cup after defeating relegated side King Faisal in the finals of the MTN FA Cup finals to book their maiden appearance in the continental flagship competition.
Management issued a communique yesterday to affirm their maiden debut in Africa on their various social media handles noting;
“The Board in its recent deliberations with Management is pleased to announce to its various stakeholders the decision to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup”.
“The club is eligible to play in Africa’s second tier club competition following its historic feat in the MTN FA Cup”.
“Dreams FC have already applied and been duly issued the license by the instant body to make its first ever appearance in an African club competition.
“Management is already working assiduously in order to present a formidable side for this task and now await the draw for the first preliminary round expected in August”, it concluded.
