Mr. Gabriel Adovoe Kwabla Tanko Kwamigah has been officially sworn in as a Member of the Council of State by His Excellency, President John Dramani Mahama.
During the swearing-in ceremony, President Mahama emphasized the importance of good governance, transparency, and national unity. He urged Council Members to provide objective and non-partisan advice to strengthen the country’s democratic institutions.
In his acceptance speech, Mr. Kwamigah pledged to serve with honesty, integrity, and dedication in line with the provisions of the Constitution. Representing the Volta Region, he vowed to prioritize development, youth empowerment, and economic transformation in his advisory role to the President.
Leveraging his experience in social development through the Tanko Foundation, Mr. Kwamigah expressed his commitment to initiatives that drive economic growth, improve infrastructure, and enhance community engagement across the region.
“As a Member of the Council of State, I will work diligently to ensure that the interests of the Volta Region are well represented. My focus will be on policies and programs that uplift communities, create sustainable opportunities, and foster national development,” he stated.
His appointment has been welcomed by many stakeholders, who see his leadership as a valuable asset to the Council of State and the nation at large.
