German Ambassador to Ghana, Daniel Krull has lauded Lothar Matthaus concept of investing in Ghana football.
Former Germany FIFA World Cup winning captain, Lothar Mathaus, Ghana winger, Frank Acheampong and renowned agent, Oliver Konig have purchased shares in Ghana Premier League club, Accra Lions in conquest to transform the side into a global football business.
His Excellency Daniel Krull made the comments during the unveiling of the partnership at the Kempiski Hotel in Accra.
“Your [Lothar Matthaus] decision to invest in Ghana comes at a very important and crucial time for Ghana.
“It’s a very good news and it goes far beyond football and I think it is a clear message Germany believes in the future of this country.
“And will continue our close cooperation in whatever is needed to education, occasional training and of course it is part of this.
“So I wish Accra Lions continued success and all the games I have watched, Accra Lions have been successful.” Daniel Krull said.
