Gyan Brothers In Articulator Truck Drama But Baffour Gyan Says He Seized It To Defray Debt

Must Read

Former Black Stars players- Baffour and Asamoah Gyan, known together as Gyan Brother are embroiled in a drama featuring an Articulator truck belonging to a businessman, which the former Kotoko star has seized.

he Articulator truck, estimated to cost over GHc400,000, and at the centre of a brawl over a deal-gone-bad between two friends, was traced and found at the premises of Asamoah Gyan’s Paradise Mineral Water Company, a purified water producing company at Hebron, a suburb off the Accra-Kumasi road.

Prodded further, Baffour Gyan claimed that he seized the truck from a man who owed him money and could not pay back.

He was immediately arrested by the Mile 7 police and detained for some hours before he was released, but not after promising to return the truck the same day.

However, after he was granted self-recognizance bail based on the assurance he gave, Gyan has refused to return the truck for months and is allegedly playing hid- and-seek with the police and the businessman.

Even though the police educated him that he had no legal right to seize the truck because the person was owing him, he (Baffour Gyan) has since remained adamant and refused to return the car.

Narrating the entire incident to the media, the legitimate owner of the vehicle, Emmanuel Domfeh said, “I went into an agreement with a friend abroad-Big Akwes- and we both agreed on payments in instalment for the truck. I am the owner of the truck.  He gave me a cheque which bounced. I realised that the guy had breached our deal so, I decided to look for him and my vehicle. I therefore traced the truck and found it at the premises of Asamoah Gyan’s Paradise Mineral water company.”

Mr. Domfeh revealed that upon enquiries, Baffour Gyan claimed he seized the truck from a man to defray debt he owed him.

“The police however made it clear to Baffour Gyan that his action was a criminal one and ordered him to return the truck to the police station to be given to me but, he has proven stubborn,” he stated.

The businessman has therefore advised Baffour Gyan to as a matter of urgency return the vehicle to avoid further litigation.

However, when this paper contacted Baffour Gyan yesterday, he refuted all the allegations, saying that he did not seized the truck as reported but that the truck was parked at the premises of their company; waiting to load water in sachets.

“I am ready to corporate with Mr. Damfeh so we can all get back our monies from the guy abroad,” he disclosed.

Mr. Gyan further stated that he could not put the law into his own hands and was therefore ready to release the vehicle to the owner.

The businessman has also presented all documents making him the rightful owner of the vehicle to the police after the arrest of Baffour Gyan.
