I can’t say I’m super proud of ‘Try Me’ – Sarkodie speaks on reply to Yvonne Nelson

Must Read

Sarkodie has finally opened up about his track ‘Try Me,’ which was a direct response to actress Yvonne Nelson’s revelations regarding an abortion they were involved in years ago.

The Sarknation boss explained that he recorded the track for various reasons, but his team was unaware of it, and it was actually leaked without his intention.

When questioned by Angela, the host of the Way Up show, about the confrontational nature of the track and its contents, Sarkodie admitted that he wasn’t entirely proud of it and the reactions it had sparked.

He mentioned that discussing the abortion episode was a sensitive and challenging matter for him. He chose not to engage with media or press around it because he wanted to present his thoughts and feelings on the issue in a way he deemed appropriate.

Sarkodie acknowledged that creating an entire track to respond to someone wasn’t his usual approach to dealing with issues. However, he felt compelled to do so in this particular instance.

While reflecting on the situation, he admitted that he wasn’t entirely proud of everything in the track, but it was a representation of how he felt at the moment. Sarkodie also expressed that he believed there could have been a better way to communicate the matter, which is why he preferred not to discuss it extensively.
