In a press statement issued by Kudzi, Kudzi & Law, legal counsel for Nana Attobrah Quaicoe, Director-General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB), has strongly denied allegations linking their client to discussions with the Operation Recover All Loot (ORAL) Committee regarding state land.
The allegations, reportedly made by private legal practitioner Martin Kpebu during an appearance on TV3’s Keypoints program, claim that Mr. Quaicoe agreed to surrender a parcel of government land to the state following engagements with the ORAL Committee. These statements were subsequently amplified by several media outlets.
Describing the claims as “contrived, false, and without any basis,” the statement clarified that Mr. Quaicoe has never contacted or engaged with any member of the ORAL Committee, including Hon. Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa. The statement further emphasized that the NIB Director-General does not possess any illegally acquired government land, as alleged.
The legal team called on Mr. Martin Kpebu to retract the statements and urged the public to disregard what they described as defamatory and injurious allegations aimed at tarnishing their client’s reputation.
The statement concluded by warning that failure to retract the statements may compel Mr. Quaicoe to take legal action to protect his name and rights.
The press release, signed by Saviour Quarcoo Kudze, underscored the seriousness of the matter, urging media outlets to exercise caution in disseminating unverified information.
