President John Dramani Mahama has officially named the ministers who will form his cabinet, bringing together a team of experienced legislators and technocrats to drive his administration’s agenda.
The cabinet includes Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson, MP, as Minister for Finance, Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, MP, as Minister for the Interior, and Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, MP, as Minister for Health. Dr. Edward Kofi Omane Boamah will serve as Minister for Defence, while Dr. Dominic Akuritinga, MP, takes up the role of Attorney-General and Minister for Justice.
John Abdulai Jinapor has been included as Minister for Energy and Green Transition, with Haruna Iddrisu, MP, leading the Ministry of Education. Elizabeth Ofosu-Adjare will oversee the Ministry of Trade, Agribusiness, and Industry, while Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah takes charge of Lands and Natural Resources.
Other key members of the cabinet include Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, MP, as Minister for Foreign Affairs, Eric Opoku, MP, as Minister for Food and Agriculture, and Samuel Nartey George, MP, as Minister for Communication, Digital Technology, and Innovations.
The Ministry of Roads and Highways will be led by Kwame Governs Agbodza, MP, while Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, MP, heads the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology. Adjei Kenneth Gilbert has been named Minister for Works, Housing, and Water Resources, and Ahmed Ibrahim, MP, will oversee Local Government, Chieftaincy, and Religious Affairs.
Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, MP, will serve as Minister for Gender, Children, and Social Protection, with Joseph Bukari Nikpe heading the Ministry of Transport. Abdul-Rashid H. Pelpuo, MP, has been named Minister for Labour, Jobs, and Employment.
