Mahama To Appoint MMDCEs in 14 Days

Must Read

The Greater Accra Regional Chairman of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Emmanuel Ashie Moore, has revealed that President John Dramani Mahama is set to appoint Metropolitan, Municipal and District Chief Executives (MMDCEs) within the next 14 days.

According to Ashie Moore, this decision aligns with Mahama’s commitment to ensuring effective governance and development across the nation. The announcement was made during a meeting with party members, where Ashie Moore emphasized the importance of strong leadership at the local government level.

“President Mahama is fully aware of the need for capable leaders to manage our districts effectively. The appointment of MMDCEs will be finalized within the next two weeks to enable swift implementation of our policies,” Ashie Moore stated.

This move is seen as a step toward bolstering the party’s preparations for addressing concerns about the President’s revocation of MMDCEs’ appointment yesterday.

While the specific names of potential appointees have not been disclosed, Ashie Moore assured party faithful and the public that the selections would prioritize competence, dedication and alignment with the NDC’s vision for progress.

Political analysts believe that the swift appointment of MMDCEs could enhance grassroots mobilization and solidify the party’s standing ahead of critical developmental battles.

The announcement has generated mixed reactions, with some stakeholders applauding the decisiveness of the timeline, while others express caution about the selection process.

As the 14-day timeline approaches, all eyes remain on Mahama and the NDC to see how this decision unfolds and its impact on the party’s strategy moving forward.
