In Kentey, a suburb of Nkwanta South Municipality of Oti Region, 23-year-old Kwaku Atta, has been arrested for allegedly having sex with a neighbours goat.
The Divisional Police Command of Nkwanta South said that Kwaku Atta would be charged with unnatural carnal knowledge.
He was arrested during one of his sexual bouts with the goat, and the police were signalled, leading to Kwaku’s arrest.
The suspect, however, denied the allegation.
People in the community stated that Kwaku often had sex with their female Goats.
The case was reported on Saturday, 20 May, 2023, by the owner of the Goat.
Last year, reports say one of the nannies he had sex with was poisoned to death by its owner for fear that it would spread bad omen.
The wife of the suspect, who is pregnant, has reportedly left her matrimonial home for fear of being stigmatised and embarrassed.
Ndebechie Atta, the mother of the suspect, insisted that, since there is no evidence to prove the act, her son Kwaku has been accused falsely.
Kwaku is currently on police bail pending further investigation into the case.
