My Post Has Nothing To Do With NPP’s Search For A Running Mate – Opoku Onyinah

Must Read

Former Chairman for the Church of Pentecost, Opoku Onyinah has indicated that his post on Facebook has nothing to do with the search for a running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
According to him, he was looking for a quote that touched his heart and he stumbled on the post that talks about using his talent and not burying it.
He acknowledged that the timing was wrong but indicated that “I still “keep my head” and place Christ first in whatever I do.”
His post shared via Facebook a few minutes ago read “Very interesting. I coined my last post when we (The Church of Pentecost) adopted the theme, “Being a Good Steward of God in my Generation” in 2015. I examined the man who received one talent and hid it in the ground. I then wrote, “The Lord has a reason for creating me. Burying my talent and making it redundant is doing a disservice to my family, church, nation, and world. If I fail to speak, to work, to contribute, I allow the ‘bad’ minority to rule and dictate. Often, the silence of the majority or a good one helps the noisy minority destroy society or even rule.” It has many lessons. Last night, I was looking for a quote that touched my heart on preaching to post it. As I could not find it and stumbled on this, I posted it. It has nothing to do with what is going on. Perhaps it has come at the wrong time. Timing is important. I still “keep my head” and place Christ first in whatever I do”.
Opoku Onyinah’s earlier post on Facebook sparked conversations about him being the choice for running mate for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) ahead of the 2024 elections.
In the coming days, the flagbearer of the NPP, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia is expected to announce a running mate to support the political party’s ticket.
Opoku Onyinah has come to the top of the list of names being considered for the position and even qualifies because the party is considering an individual from the Ashanti Region.
