Gospel singer-songwriter Nii Okai has announced a concert to celebrate 20 years of his debut album.

Moko Be was released in 2003. It housed hits like its title track and Woana Na.

The 8-track album earned Nii Okai Gospel music stardom. It featured the late contemporary Gospel star Danny Nettey and Ike Nanor.

The Moko Be @ 20 Concert will come off on Sunday, September 17, 2023, at the International Central Gospel Church (ICGC) Zoe Temple, Tema Community 5.

Gospel stars like Joe Mettle, KODA, MOGmusic, Eugene Zuta, Kofi Karikari, among others.

“I’ve groomed a number of musicians who are doing very well now and I’m always proud of their exploits. As such, this concert, which is quite instrumental in my career and story as a musician, will afford me the opportunity to have all of them on a stage,” Nii Okai said.

He spoke concering the meaning the concert holds for him as well.

“That also tells of my influence in the Ghanaian Gospel music space. I don’t want it to be a place of pride for me but to express my gratitude to God for using me as a vessel to be a blessing in the lives of many musicians who have served with me since my debut album in 2003 and are equally impacting lives in Ghana and beyond,” the Harbour City Mass Choir leader noted.
