President John Dramani Mahama has announced a series of critical appointments aimed at bolstering national security and safeguarding citizens.
A statement issued by Mr. Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Acting Spokesperson to the President, highlighted the appointments, emphasizing the depth of expertise brought by the appointees.
Mr. Prosper Douglas Bani, a former Chief of Staff and Minister for the Interior, has been appointed National Security Advisor to the President. His extensive experience in governance and security management is expected to provide strategic guidance.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCOP) Abdul-Osman Razak has been named National Security Coordinator. In this role, he will lead the coordination of security strategies across all sectors.
Retired Commissioner of Police (COP) Nathan Kofi Boakye has been appointed Director of Operations at the Presidency, tasked with enhancing operational efficiency in security matters.
Additionally, Mr. Charles Kipo has been named Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau, a role pivotal to intelligence and counterintelligence efforts.
These appointments underscore President Mahama’s commitment to strengthening national security infrastructure and ensuring the safety and well-being of all Ghanaians.
