Sam George, Ablakwa face vetting today alongside six others

Samuel Nartey George and Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa are set to appear before Parliament’s Appointments Committee today, Thursday, January 30, 2025, as part of the vetting of ministerial nominees.

 

Sam George, the Minister Designate for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations, will take his turn at 10:00 a.m., while Ablakwa, nominated for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, will face the committee at 12:30 p.m.

 

The vetting will begin at 8:00 a.m. with Abdul-Rashid Hassan Pelpuo, nominee for the Ministry of Labour, Jobs, and Employment, followed by Ibrahim Murtala Muhammed, designated for the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology, at 9:00 a.m.

 

After Sam George’s session, Kofi Iddie Adams, Minister Designate for Sports and Recreation, will appear before the committee at 11:00 a.m.

 

Following a break, the vetting will resume with Ablakwa at 12:30 p.m., Joseph Bukari Nikpe for the Ministry of Transport at 1:30 p.m., Issifu Seidu for Minister of State for Climate Change and Sustainability at 2:30 p.m., and Mrs. Charity Gardiner for the Ahafo Region at 3:30 p.m.

 

The vetting process continues on Friday, January 31, 2025, with additional nominees scheduled to appear before the committee.
