Rapper Sarkodie has given his official endorsement to the relatively unknown but immensely talented highlife singer, Safo Newman.
The endorsement came after Safo Newman gained viral attention following a tweet from Ghanaian music executive Yaw Boadu-Ayeboafoh on Twitter. The tweet has garnered close to 200,000 views, with numerous fans tagging various artists to collaborate with Safo Newman on a remix.
Safo Newman’s single, “Akokoa,” addressing religious hypocrisies, has taken social media by storm due to its relatable lyrics and the artist’s unique style.
Artists such as Sarkodie, Black Shreif, Kofi Kinaata, Fameye, Amerado, among others, were mentioned as potential collaborators.
In response to the buzz, Sarkodie took to Twitter to express his admiration for Safo Newman, describing him as a “real talent.” In a tweet, Sarkodie stated, “All Boxes ticked! Now that’s real talent … I felt you a 1000 percent.”
