Must Read

The Tafo Government Hospital in the Ashanti Region has received a donation of essential medical equipment from the Kofi Job Foundation, the charitable arm of Kofi Job Construction Company, based in Kumasi.

The donation, aimed at improving healthcare services for infants, follows a formal request by the hospital’s management to the Foundation, which is dedicated to enhancing healthcare delivery across Ghana.

The equipment, valued at GHC100,000, includes one phototherapy machine, one vein finder, two C-PAP machines, and four suction machines. It is estimated that these items will contribute to the treatment and management of medical conditions for over 300 infants within a year.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony, Dr. Esther Gyebi, Chief Executive Officer of the Foundation, reaffirmed its commitment to supporting pediatric healthcare and assured that the Foundation would continue assisting individuals and organizations in need.

Dr. Grace Naado, Head of the Pediatric Department at the hospital, expressed deep gratitude for the donation, emphasizing its timeliness. She highlighted the critical role of the phototherapy machine in treating childhood jaundice, noting that its absence had previously posed significant challenges for infant care.

“The availability of this equipment means that approximately 300 infants and children, who were previously underserved, will now have access to high-quality treatment,” Dr. Naado stated. She lauded the Kofi Job Foundation for its invaluable contribution to improving healthcare delivery at the facility.

The donation reinforces the Foundation’s ongoing efforts to support the healthcare sector and ensure that infants in need receive timely and effective treatment.
