Tension Mounts, As 3 Sustain Gunshot Wounds In Asuom

Tension mounts at Akyem Asuom in the Kwaebibirem Municipality of the Eastern Region as three (3) persons allegedly sustained gunshot wounds following a misunderstanding between the chief of the area, Osabarima Ofosuhene Apenteng II, and the youth over an old Palace.

Information gathered by the media indicated that the Misunderstanding degenerated into violence as the police tried to separate the crowd from attacking the chief.

The three (3) victims who sustained gunshot wounds were identified as Nana Kwasi 7 years old, and Alex Twum, 50 years old. Both of them have been rushed to the St. Domestic Catholic Hospital in Akwatia for treatment and Ofori Dominic has been treated and discharged at the Asuom Health Center.

Speaking to the Krontihene of Akyem Asuom, Nana Boadi Amponim Obodade III, called on the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to intervene in this matter to save the lives of innocent children, vulnerable individuals, and properties.
