Reports reaching Daily Analyst indicate some whistleblowers are preparing to petition the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to probe the activities of the Coordinator of the Unified Petroleum Price Fund (UPPF) which is an agency under the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).
Mr Jacob Amuah, the UPPF Coordinator, has recently been in the news for the wrong reasons following reports of alleged misappropriation of UPPF funds. The latest of the scandals is the missing GHC 1.3 billion UPP cash, which was allegedly shared among some top past political appointees.
This paper can confirm that the whistleblowers will also ask the OSP to investigate some expensive properties allegedly belonging to Mr Jacob Amuah. According to our sources, the properties in question involved several mansions at Trasacco and Tse Addo, both prime areas in the Capital of Ghana. Our source further reports of similar mansions at Sakumono.
“We will also ask the OSP to investigate Mr Amuah’s recent acquisition of one GLE 450 Mercedes Benz for himself and his wife,” the source further revealed.
“How can a public servant acquire all these expensive properties when we know his official salaries and allowance? We will also petition the new NPA boss to remove him to avoid further embarrassment. The scandals are becoming too much!” the source further warned.
