Vice President’s Office announces key appointments, Ofosu Ampofo is policy advisor

The Office of the Vice President has been strengthened with a new team of key officials appointed by President John Dramani Mahama.

 

The appointments, approved as part of the administration’s Resetting Ghana agenda, are expected to enhance the Vice President’s efficiency in governance and policy implementation.

 

Leading the team is Alex Percival Segbefia, who has been appointed Chief of Staff to the Vice President, responsible for coordinating activities within the office. Mrs. Alberta Graham will serve as Head of Administration, ensuring smooth operational management, while Professor Theresah Ennin takes on the role of Presidential Staffer and Special Aide to the Vice President.

 

To support policy direction, several advisers have been named:

 

Dr. Samuel Ofosu Ampofo – Policy Adviser, Political

 

Prof. Sharif Mahmud Khalid – Policy Adviser, Economic

 

Dr. Hamza Zakaria – Policy Adviser, Economic

 

Ms. Mansa Amoa Awuah – Policy Adviser, Finance

 

Dr. Miriam Rahinatu Iddrisu – Policy Adviser, Social Sector

 

 

Additionally, Ms. Daniella Mavis Mathias has been appointed Secretary to the Vice President, and Maame Ama Pratt will serve as Press Secretary, overseeing communications and public engagements.

 

The newly appointed officials are expected to bring their expertise to bear in advancing the government’s policies and priorities.
