The University of Cape Coast (UCC) Management has officially denied allegations claiming the existence of an outlet or campus in Nigeria, as well as reports suggesting that UCC operations have been banned in the country.
In a statement dated Thursday, January 4, the university clarified its position, stating, “The University of Cape Coast (UCC) does not have any outlet or campus operating in Nigeria, neither has it granted franchise to any institution in Nigeria to run its programmes.”
The university further explained that all international students, including Nigerians, who wish to study at UCC, are required to apply directly to the University for consideration.
UCC emphasized the importance of verifying the authenticity of certificates reportedly issued by the university.
Conclusively, UCC urged stakeholders and the general public to disregard the alleged misinformation.
