You have 14 days to appear before us – Nogokpo charges at Agyinasare

Elders of Nogokpo traditional area in the Ketu South Municipality, in the volta region, have given the founder and leader of Perez Chapel, Archbishop Charles Agyinasare, a 14-day ultimatum to appear before them for tagging the town as the headquarters of demons.

Failure to appear before them, the elders say, would compel them to advise themselves and decide on their next line of action.

At a press conference today, Friday, June 2, 2023, the convenor of the community, Nufialaga Mawufemor Korbla Nonyigbey, called on the Archbishop to do the right thing after tarnishing the image of the town.

“The Archbishop in his second sermon and clarification showed no remorse or regret, an indication that he deliberately decided to tarnish the good reputation of the people of Nogokpo and a calculated damage mechanism of the usual religious intolerance to weaken African Traditional Religion.”

The chiefs and people of Nogokpo also called on the National Peace Council to “help Archbishop Charles Agyinasare appear before the council of elders of the Nogokpo community within 14 days for an amicable resolution.”

Recall that on the third day of the Supernatural Summit held at the headquarters of Perez Chapel in Accra on May 25, 2023, the revered man of God caused a stir when he preached about divine protection and the existence of evil forces.

In the course of his preaching, Agyinasare recounted an incident where his team came under spiritual attacks for hosting a crusade in the Volta Region and described Nogokpo as the headquarters of demons in the region.

Following the huge public backlash, he clarified those comments, saying he never meant to denigrate the people of the Volta Region because his wife is also a native of the region.
